Curation Caio Cesar Estevez de Souza, Doctoral Candidate in Romance Languages and Literatures, Harvard University. All items in this exhibition were from the Count of Santa Eulalia Collection, given to Harvard in 1926 by John B. Stetson, Jr. Four hundred and fifty years ago, Luís Vaz de Camões published what would become the greatest epic poem ever written in Portuguese. Os Lusíadas recounts Vasco da Gama’s first voyage to India across the Atlantic Ocean, inaugurating a new stage of the European Maritime Expansion. Harvard University Houghton Library holds one of the largest collections of Os Lusíadas rare editions outside of Portugal. In this exhibition, items displayed demonstrate the historical relevance of this poem, as well as an opportunity to reassess the impact of European imperialism on world history. My role in this project was to design the brand identity (logo, typography and type design, illustrations, poster, labels, etc.) and marketing assets (socials, post cards, landing page banner)&nbsp; Problem Statement Modern day small scale clinics deal with a lot of time and resource waste because of lack of efficient time management.&nbsp; There is a reason why big health insurance companies such as Medicare allow for people to get free annual wellness visit. Being able to prevent any harmful disease or condition from spreading allows for the patient to become safer and cheaper. After speaking with many doctors, one of the most occurring problems in this tech evolved world, is that people have to wait on holds or call at specific hours to schedule an appointment eons from now. Solution Statement An efficient time managing tool can make the clinics self sufficient and optimise their productivity. Increasing productivity could also lead to cheaper healthcare system in future. Project brief MP Health is a scheduling platform that helps Medical Clinics jump towards the next step in the future. Advisor Mary Yang Boston University Spring 2020 An experimental typeface design inspired by the the unique shapes from a friend’s broken glasses. Its stencil nature makes it great for spray painting signages, event posters or masking images behind. It is a fun display font which is primarily small letters and can be used in various contexts. The project aimed at contrasting something via deconstructing construction paper, which made me want to construct an alphabet inspired by the shape of a deconstructed object!
